The effectiveness of work depends on having a rest at work

During rest, the brain begins to translate short-term memory into a long-term form. The same processes occur during sleep

The scientists came to the conclusion that during the working day a person needs to take pauses in the work - they will help to increase the efficiency of work.
A group of researchers from New York conducted an experiment in which a group of volunteers took part. Each participant had to solve several tasks and memorize as many images and figures as the scientists showed them.
Then the volunteers were divided into two groups. After the tests, the first part of the participants immediately switched to other activities, such as reading and writing, and the second group was distracted from work and for a few minutes just rested.
After some time, experts asked all volunteers to recall the information they had been teaching the day before. As it turned out, much of the material was remembered by those studied, who had a chance to rest.
According to the authors of the experiment, during rest the brain begins to translate short-term memory into a long-term form. The same processes occur during sleep.
So, scientists strongly advise people engaged in mental activity, as often as possible to take respites - this will make their work much more effective.
