Foods containing harmful trans fats

Trans fat occurs in the process of hydrogenation of natural vegetable fat (oil). Thus, the manufacturer prolongs the shelf life and product life, but this cannot be said about our life with you.
Many foods include trans fats, which are not as harmless as they might seem at first glance. Substances created in an industrial environment are of particular danger to people.

Trans fat occurs in the process of hydrogenation of natural vegetable fat (oil). Thus, the manufacturer extends the shelf life and product life, but this cannot be said about our life with you.

What are trans fats?

By trans-fats are meant modified molecules that appear in vegetable fats (oils)  as a result of exposure to high temperatures during hydrogenation. The composition of these fats include modified unsaturated acids, which, when released into the human body, worsen the metabolism. As a result, toxins and slags are formed in the body, and many diseases are provoked.

The main difference between normal fats and trans fats is that the former can cause excess weight, while the latter increase the likelihood of a number of diseases.

Components harmful to health are found predominantly in industrial products. For example, sunflower oil when heated becomes a source of trans fats. The same thing happens with products containing margarine. And as you know, margarine is a product that is made on the basis of hydrogenated vegetable oil. Proceeding from this, nutritionists recommend less to include in the diet of fried foods.

Than trans fats are dangerous for people?

According to scientists, with regular use of products with trans fats, the risk of the occurrence of such diseases increases:

- The deterioration of the productivity of the nervous system and brain.

- The emergence of the IRR, as well as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

- Suppression of the immune system.

- The risk of malignant tumors (cancer).

- The development of diabetes.

- Quick weight gain.

Given the negative consequences, WHO has established norms for the use of unsafe products. In the daily diet of each person trans fats should not exceed 1%.

For those who adhere to a healthy diet, we offer a list of foods containing trans fats, which should be excluded from your diet.

Margarine

Among the oils, he is the leader in the number of trans fats. For a long time there were discussions that less harmful - butter or margarine. As a result of research, it was found that margarine is more harmful. It provokes atherosclerosis, heart disease and blood vessels.

Butter

Also the main source of harmful fat. In butter, trans fats make up 4%. In smaller quantities, they are in products labeled "lightweight" due to the use of hydrogenated fat. However, this option is also unsafe for the body. Butter with trans fats increase cholesterol levels, promote weight gain, and have a negative effect on blood vessels.

Refined vegetable oil

Under the influence of high temperatures, fat molecules begin to change, retaining their chemical formula and number of elements, but several atoms join differently. This leads to the fact that the fat molecule appears trans-isomer, which is called trans fat.

It must be said that trans fats are also formed in the process of frying, boiling and other heat treatment of food. On some oils  (olive, coconut) it is permissible to fry, and some oils (sunflower, corn, palm) cannot be heat treated.

In vegetable oils, trans fats occupy 1%. When frying, their number increases if the temperature reaches 190⁰. Therefore, fried food can cause increased pressure, diabetes and the formation of malignant tumors.

Cakes

One cake may contain at least 1% trans fat. However, most people are not limited to one cake. The result is a significant excess of the permissible rate.

Mayonnaise

Even expensive and high-quality mayonnaise contains trans fats. Mayonnaise cooked at home can be considered natural. And store sauces and mayonnaise slow down metabolism, have a bad effect on the heart and contribute to weight gain.

Chocolate

Many manufacturers use cocoa butter, lauric and stearic acids, which are considered trans fats instead of the necessary, natural components. Once in the body, they have a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract, liver, disturb the metabolism and worsen health. When buying chocolate you need to pay attention to the composition and remember that it can not be cheap.

Microwave Popcorn

Sometimes manufacturers write on the package that trans fats are missing. But if one of the components of the composition is called “hydrogenated oils” , it means that the harmful fats are still contained in popcorn.

Crackers

Despite the simple and harmless composition, there are harmful fats in crackers that are “heavy” for the body.

Chips

One pack of chips contains at least 3% of unhealthy fats, while the allowable rate is 1%. Instead of chips it is better to eat natural products.

Mixes for quick breakfasts

Packing mixes, as a rule, colorful, and they can even be used by children. However, many quick breakfasts contain trans fats, like protein bars, which are advertised as healthy foods. Replace the mixture for quick breakfast appropriate oatmeal or muesli.

Frozen Products

Frozen pancakes, pies and similar semi-finished products contain harmful substances in large quantities. It is better to replace them with home-made counterparts, despite the fact that ready-to-cook foods are prepared quickly.

French fries

French fries are one of the leaders in the amount of unhealthy fats. In one portion, the rate is exceeded about 7 times. To it you need to add other products with trans fats that are consumed during the day.

Vegetable dry fat

It prolongs the shelf life of products, but negatively affects the arteries. It is reasonable to refuse products with its content.

How to minimize damage from trashzhirov?

Of course, a few days it is impossible to do. However, it is possible to optimize the process of cleansing the body of trans fats, if we exclude products that contain them, or adhere to the WHO standard. Also, nutritionists recommend eating as much as possible home-grown vegetables and fruits. Then, instead of cells affected by trans fats, new ones are formed.
