The main difference between normal fats and trans fats is that the former can cause excess weight, while the latter increase the likelihood of a number of diseases. 

Components harmful to health are found predominantly in industrial products. For example, sunflower oil when heated becomes a source of trans fats. The same thing happens with products containing margarine. And as you know, margarine is a product that is made on the basis of hydrogenated vegetable oil. Proceeding from this, nutritionists recommend less to include in the diet of fried foods.

Than trans fats are dangerous for people?

According to scientists, with regular use of products with trans fats, the risk of the occurrence of such diseases increases: 

- The deterioration of the productivity of the nervous system and brain. 

- The emergence of the IRR, as well as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

- The development of diabetes.

In vegetable oils, trans fats occupy 1%. When frying, their number increases if the temperature reaches 190⁰. Therefore, fried food can cause increased pressure, diabetes and the formation of malignant tumors.


One cake may contain at least 1% trans fat. However, most people are not limited to one cake. The result is a significant excess of the permissible rate.


Even expensive and high-quality mayonnaise contains trans fats. Mayonnaise cooked at home can be considered natural. And store sauces and mayonnaise slow down metabolism, have a bad effect on the heart and contribute to weight gain.


Many manufacturers use cocoa butter, lauric and stearic acids, which are considered trans fats instead of the necessary, natural components. Once in the body, they have a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract, liver, disturb the metabolism and worsen health. When buying chocolate you need to pay attention to the composition and remember that it can not be cheap.
